TRANSGARD NAMES GREG BURKHOLDER CEO

BILL REICHARD WILL REMAIN WITH THE COMPANY AS EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

(YORK, Pa) — TransGard LLC announced today that Greg  Burkholder has been hired as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. TransGard is a leading provider of animal-deterrent equipment that currently safeguards thousands of North American substations.

Bill Reichard will remain with the company, serving as Executive Chairman of the Board. The transition has been carefully planned to ensure seamless continuity at TransGard.

“After an extensive search, we discovered the ideal candidate to build on our recent success,” Reichard said. “Greg brings to TransGard the ideal blend of leadership experience, operations expertise and long-range vision. We’re excited to have him on board.”

Before coming to TransGard, Burkholder served as Chief Executive Officer at a mid-cap building products company for nearly a decade. While there, he expanded market reach and penetration, oversaw a successful rebranding effort, and navigated an acquisition and integration that resulted 100% revenue growth.

As TransGard CEO, Burkholder will oversee operations, sales, product development and other key facets of the business. In his new role as Executive Chairman, Reichard will continue to provide strategic guidance and consultation based on his years of industry experience.

TransGard designs and manufactures patented animal mitigation solutions to protect substations from animal intrusion — a major source of outages and unexpected costs for utilities. TransGard products have been widely adopted and have now been deployed at nearly 4,000 locations.
