(May 2, 2017—NEW FREEDOM, Pa.) TransGard announced today that Ryan Topping has joined the company as its new Inside Sales Representative. The company manufactures patented substation fencing that currently prevents incursions by climbing animals at more than 2,500 substations in North America.
In his role, Topping will be responsible for new business and lead generation, sales and technical support for customers and independent rep networks, project quotations, client relations and more.
“As reports of animal-caused outages continue to grow, demand for our fencing has increased,” said Bill Reichard, President of TransGard. “We’re pleased to have Ryan on board to handle that demand and manage all our sales efforts. His broad experience makes him an immediate asset to our team.”
Topping comes to TransGard from a similar position as a merchandiser and sales representative for Ace Distributing in York, Pa. He holds a B.S. in Marketing from York College of Pennsylvania.
TransGard manufactures the only patented substation fencing that deters climbing animals by delivering a mild electric shock — a humane technique that, according to IEEE, offers the most effective barrier against animal incursion. TransGard prevents outages caused by squirrels, snakes, raccoons and other animals.
