NEWS RELEASE: TRANSGARD INTRODUCES EMERGENCY EXIT PANEL

NEW FENCE COMPONENT ADDS ADDITIONAL SAFETY AT SUBSTATIONS

(YORK, Pa.)TransGard, manufacturer of the only substation fencing that deters climbing animals by delivering a mild electric shock, announced today the release of its new Emergency Exit Panel.

TransGard’s new Emergency Exit Panels add additional points of egress from the fence enclosure for personnel safety. These panels are fully energized except for the access bar, and equipped with 14 GAW zinc-coated wire mesh, providing 48” of vertical protection from climbing animals

The new Emergency Exit Panels include the same quality and durability as the standard fence panels, and includes these features:

  • Durable extruded PVC that meets UL-94 V0 flammability standards
  • Patented hinge technology
  • Electrical connections use class 3 galvanized wire with a non-flammable oxide-inhibiting grease for maximum corrosion resistance
  • Available in 4’ x 10’ sections that can be incorporated into existing fence systems
  • Easy to install: no postholes, foundation or concrete required

“Our Emergency Exit Panels are a valuable safety addition for any substation,” said Bill Reichard, TransGard President. “Emergencies arise without warning, and having additional points to exit a fence system is an asset for substation managers and work crews.”
