TRANSGARD HIRES SHEVETONE, BARKER AS REGIONAL SALES DIRECTORS

York, Pa – TransGard, a leading provider of animal-deterrent equipment to substations, announced today that Darren Barker and Mark Shevetone have joined the company as new regional sales directors.

In their respective roles, Barker (U.S. East) and Shevetone (U.S. West) will develop sales strategies in their regions, service the utility industry with animal- and bird-mitigation solutions, and focus on regional growth.

TransGard provides proven animal-deterrent systems for the power distribution industry. The company manufactures the only patented substation fencing that deters climbing animals by delivering a mild, non-lethal electric shock.

TransGard is also the exclusive distributor of the hi-tech Avix Autonomic Bird Laser, which uses a concentrated beam of light to prevent birds from entering or roosting in electrical substations.

“As animal incursions in substations increase, and as interest in our solutions has continued to grow, we’ve recognized the need to bring expert sales professionals on board to meet the demand,” said Bill Reichard, TransGard’s president.

“Darren and Mark’s experience in sales, strategic growth, and customer care makes them immediate assets to our team, and accelerates our ability to service customers from coast to coast.”

Barker and Shevetone each come to TransGard with more than 20 years of sales and revenue growth experience in the national and international technology and energy sectors.

Barker’s base of operation will be in Illinois, while Shevetone will be headquartered in Nevada.
