TRANSGARD TO SHOWCASE ANIMAL DETERRENT PRODUCTS AT DISTRIBUTECH 2022

DALLAS EVENT STARTS JANUARY 26

TransGard will exhibit its animal deterrent products for substations at the upcoming DISTRIBUTECH International 2022. The show runs January 26-28 in Dallas.

TransGard is the manufacturer of the only patented fence that deters climbing animals by delivering a mild electric shock. TransGard is also the industry source for Laser Bird Defense, which uses a concentrated beam of light to frighten birds, keeping them from entering, roosting, and nesting in substations.

DISTRIBUTECH International is a leading annual transmission and distribution event, addressing technologies used to move electricity from the power plant through the transmission and distribution systems and into the home. More than 500 companies will be exhibiting products, services, and information related to electricity delivery automation and control systems, energy efficiency, and more.

In additional to displaying components of both the fence and laser systems, TransGard will also have representatives from its team on hand to answer questions about the products, their installation, and more.

“As residential and commercial development increases and animal habitats shrink, the frequency of animal-caused substation outages continues to grow,” says TransGard president Bill Reichard.

“DISTRIBUTECH is the perfect venue to demonstrate to industry professionals how simple and cost-effective it can be to add these proven solutions to a substation.”
